We are a traditional family from west midlands area. Our father works in a factory and earns quite averagely compared to many parents of our friends. Our mom stays at home and deals with all the household activities, which can be very confusing and turn out to be really hard job sometimes. Especially when you have to take care of five children, like in our case. Me and my three sisters and one brother Willy need a lot of attention and care. Our financial situation is not the best that one could imagine I suppose. We spend a lot of cash on clothes and food, not even mentioning the bills and regular spending. The salary of our father is sometimes not enough - especially when it is time to buy books for school or something like that. Going on vacation is quite rare for use, too. It costs too much. Last month mum had to sell gold ring to earn for vacation. Recently, our grandma died and we came into a part of her house. We are not able to sell it or to move in as it is only partly ours. The other part belongs to her daughter from another marriage and we do not know each other at all. Apart from the house, our grandma left us her jewelry too. Among other items, a beautiful, golden necklace too. I am terribly sorry that we have to sell it as scrap gold instead of keeping it. It reminds me of grandma and I dont want to treat it as scrap gold. We have already discussed it with my parents and... so far there is no other way out - our situation forces us to sell it as scrap gold as soon as possible, even though this is the first time we sell gold to get money.
